30 January 2009- Admission into General Hospital

Life has been tough nowadays. And i have been rushing, in a bid to complete these few posts since 2 weeks ago, since the day i was hospitalized. This time, i have brought to u quite a number of new posts. Be more 'endurable' man! ^^

Early in the morning, my dad sent me to Tung Shin hospital. My red rashes spreading over my limbs were deteriorating since they set in 2 days ago. We registered at the counter at 10.00am, and entered the clinic at 10.45am. I was so worry, yet frustrated, when looking at my legs. More rashes as compared to this morning when i just woke up. What on earth had i done to deserve all these?! I informed the doctor about my condition. No fever, no headache, no coughing, no abdominal pain, NO PAIN! In fact, i was perfectly well as i was, except those purplish red rashes over my legs (a bit over my hands though...). The doctor asked me to do a blood test, as he didn't have a clue about what kind of disease i was infected by. So, i went to the 4th floor, telling the nurses there about my case, and then the blood test was conducted. After that, i was told to wait for around an hour while the nurses progressed with my blood sample. Next, i went to the Petaling Street to eat my breakfast and was back to hospital at 12.00pm sharp. For god's sake, my report was done. I viewed through the details, well...okay...okay...no problems with erythrocytes and leucocytes...hmm...oh my god!!, i screamed in my heart, bursting through every part of my body. The last line, with my current level of thrombocytes, or simply platelets written on it, showed that i was in big trouble. Very big one. The normal range for the platelets count in the human body is supposedly ranging between 140 and 400 units. But now u see, i only had 4 units, which was far below the range. Die loh! This indicated that i was almost depleted of platelets, which are the essence in blood clotting process to prevent extreme bleeding and blood loss. Haih...the nurses told me that my case was very anomalous. So, she took another dose of blood sample from me (fainted...). Then, i moved on to the clinic downstairs to consult the doctor again. And what he had told me was really staggering. He said that he didn't know what was the cause and advised me to go to another hospital, which was the General Hospital. Being disappointed, perplexed, worried and saddened, i set off with my dad to General Hospital. On the way, my dad had informed my uncle about the quagmire i was in trouble with. In fact, i 1st noticed these rashes in his house, as i spent my time there for cny celebration few days ago. He was on his way to hospital now. He was so worried about me. I felt so sorry for him....

So we reached the hospital at 1.00pm. The hospital was still as normal as it was, teeming with people from everywhere. After registering my profile at the counter, i was admitted to the general ward. So frustrated...i was lying on the bed, reading the maths book i had brought along. 1 hour later, a few medical officers came over, jotting down my medical details and taking another doses of blood samples (oh my god! How many doses do u want?!). Haih...same expression on their faces, feeling uncertain of my condition. Therefore, we had to wait for another specialist from Hospital Ampang to explain my condition. That meant i still didn't know what was wrong with my body. The previous doctors had suspected this might be a symptom for dengue. But i didn't have fever and headache! And it wasn't because of allergy neither. I used to eat a lot of seafood, without even a single trace of red rash! I was so healthy! Yeah...not with those shitty rashes. Next, the medical officers said that my report could only be done in a few days' time. That meaned i had to stay and suffer here for days. Haih...that day i actually ady planned an outing to midvalley with Wooi Liang's gang. Now, it was not likely gonna happen owing to these prodigious amount of red rashes ( or which pw referred to as 'uncountable' as i sms her that day to enquire her about the symptoms of allergy). Well, fine. At the same time, my uncle and aunt reached my room, coming over to my bedside. They bought things for me, from which some of them were tonics. Blah blah blah...

Haih...what on earth had i done to deserve all these...

Can see the difference?

Daily meals,ph and pw should eat these for me! They are anti-lipids, so i think the foods over here are undoubtedly suitable for them. For both dietary and slimming purposes!!

For the next few days in hospital, i led no life. I was on my bed and meditated for most of the time. So melancholy..Damned missed a lot of people man. Meanwhile, i didn't forget to pray for them. I prayed that Ken Nee is doing well for his studies in Russia and taking good care of himself, daniel is able to take a break while leading a hectic life with his assignment, Zhung Lun is able to pass his ICPU in Taylor College before going to Canada this year, Zhu Jie and Shun Ming are able to cope with the lessons, Pei Hwa is able to seek her own joy in Shah Alam so that she wouldn't be feeling that homesick and lonely and be happy, Ping Wen is able to pass her english speaking test...i prayed, prayed and prayed, hoping that everyone was alright. By Monday, i got to know my condition. It was ITP (Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura), by which my body immune system attacks my own platelets. For the next few days till the day i was discharged, every day looked alike. Eating the same food, taking the same tablets, sleeping the same time...except the day before i was discharged. A patient was admitted into the same ward of where i was. That night, he slept and snoozed like pig. God-damned annoying...and for that we all had had insomnia for the whole night. An indian guy woke up and complained that he couldn't sleep because of that fellow. So funny man! It was definitely something that u could laugh ur head off!!^^

Next afternoon (Wednesday), i was discharged from the hospital. However, i am not fully recovered yet. Still relying on the medication to maintain my platelets count. and have to attend the appointment with specialist for further medical check-up. Haih...life itself is ady tough...c ya!

26-27 January 2009- Happy Chinese New Year, everyone!

Hmm...basically, there was nothing new for this year's cny. I went to my uncle's house in Pahang and stayed there for a few days. On Sunday which was the cny eve, i spent most of my time in msnING. So boring. At around 11.45pm, i prepared my cny wishing messages to be sent later. At 12.00am sharp, i bombarded people's hp with the cny sms (around than 25 of them, i think.). For the next few days, there were watchings, eatings, chattings, and most importantly, gamblings. Besides, i also visited my relatives' house to collect angpaos. My sister got more because she also went to her cousin's friends' houses. So greedy...My shared photos!!

Cute cousins and I!!

22 January 2009- One utamaING!

As usual, the class ended at 12.00pm. I rushed to the girl's hostel with classmates, namely pei hwa, ing hui and ping wen. Next...hmm...so lazy to mention over and over again. Don't know how many millions of times i have been telling this. If wanna know what will i do there, refer back to my previous posts. After that, we took taxi and ktm and went to subang parade while waiting for the arrival of other friends(elayne, chee huat, ivy). Yeah...we shopped around there, went searching for buns. Ping Wen had a hard time with her atm card, which don't-know-why couldn't be read and encoded by the atm machine. Pity her...but after a while it was back to normal and became 'functional' again. Haih...be tough, ping wen. Life is unfair. Then, we went to the bus stop in front of carefour where we decided to take rapid kl to go to 1u. Ph was seemed to be impatient (as always...) and asked me to enquire about the taxi fare to go to 1u. 'Wah! 15 bucks! Very cheap!'. Therefore, without much hesitation, we got into the taxi and headed straight to one u. On the way, ing hui called the other friends, telling them about our 'plan'. It took around 20 minutes for us to reach the old complex of 1u. After meeting up with other friends, we separated into 2 gangs (i didn't know why also) to go our own ways. Me, ph and pw were together(as always too...)whereas the rest in another gang.

So, the next thing that happened to me was that i must fasten and keep pace with ph and pw, AS ALWAYS, in a bid to follow their unrhythmical walking speed. They r shopping spree! Moreover, we were so unfamiliar with this place. So, we RUN here and there to search for the directory. After shopping and running here and there (i admit it for this time, 'here and there' means everywhere. Figure it out urself.), we went looking for nice food. Ph said that she wanted to eat cakes in a don't-know-what-name shop, but by the time we reached the shop, pw complained that the foods were very fatty and lipidic. Therefore, we walked all the way back to the directory to seek another venue to go! U know what. We had been loitering along this particular route for more than 3 times, to and fro from one end to another! I was gonna collapse ady, but they just seemed like 'enjoyed' torturing me. Argh..i could be popped off by starvation before i was exhausted. Didn't care liao! I tried to prevail on them to go the nearest restaurant which was within the 'walking distance'. Come on man...i had no energy to differentiate between 'near' and 'far' ady. So hungry...Then, i suggested to them about going to the restaurant which was just right in front of the directory. 旺角尖restaurant. A very famous and big restaurant. I persuaded and 'dragged' them into the restaurant. Feeling extremely desperate ady, when i sensed that they were about to change their minds to go to another one. At last, we were seated by a smart waitor. Why was it so? Yeah! As a fact that he was smart enough to usher us inside when we were about to step out of the restaurant! U should be praised honourably!! Then, we ordered food. Meanwhile, we had taken some photos. Here they r:

Ping Wen, Pei Hwa and I.

Chocolate Lava!!

After that, we went shopping around, again. At around 8.45pm, we passed by a 'photographing' shop (i don't know how to call that shop, we called that 大头照馆 in mandarin.). Ph asked us whether we wanted to try this out or not. Yeah...i really looked forward to it. Never try before also. However, pw was still vacillating. One set of photos for RM26! Small ones somemore...She had spent too much in buying clothes ady. Hehe! Didn't care also. Forced her to take!^^

At around 9.45pm, we went to taxi stand and were ready to go back. Chee Huat phoned me when i was in the ktm train and told me that we would go back together from akasia hostel. At around 10.30pm, the girls were back to hostel safely. From there, Chee Huat and i took rapid kl to section 2 and then walked back to hostel. Pity him lah! He just lost his handphone. Never mind lah! 旧的不去,新的不来! No offence ya!^^ Coming back to my room and was about to call it a day, my roommate Shun Ming dragged me to practise wushu with him! Oh my god! It was 12 in the midnight. I was dying ady whereas he didn't have class the next day...Then, we had a few rounds of arm-wrestlings. We did this on 2 chairs which were so unstable man. Yeah! My left hand won his easily, but was a bit unfair for the right hands because the chairs shaked here and there as we played. So, be it a drawn match lah! Next time only continue. Later on, i replied ph's call (i almost forgot that), telling her that chee huat was ady back to his room half an hour ago (blame shun ming lah! Never give me a chance to breathe!) Therefore, basically and practically, i managed to go to my bed at 2++am, after saying my prayers. Before that, i roughly calculated the total expenses i had spent in 1u that day. Hmm...approximate amount of RM140 for new clothes, RM25 for meals, RM20 for transportation and 'RM15' for the photographs (supposed to be RM9 for each person. I subsidized pw for RM3 because she had really spent a lot. But ph buat bising and tak puas i belanja pw only. So, i ended up in paying another RM6 for the girls. Haih...dead broke...). That day was highly exhilarating for me. The 1st craziest and happiest day i had gone through in year 2009. Thanks a lot man! Sweet dream!^^

Next morning, i was utterly exhausted. I found myself very drowsy when our bio lecturer asked me to explain on prophase 1 of meiosis. Haih...nowhere to escape, i just answered by subconscious. Couldn't recall those scientific names due to extreme drowsiness..hmm...a bit lah! Like chiasmata, crossing-over...Damned sui lah! And also, she gave us tasks for the bio presentation. Haih...lagi sui! After lessons, i went to section 18 to eat my last meal in Secret Recepi with ph and ing hui, before going back to hometown for Chinese New Year. Happy Chinese New Year, everyone! ^^

16 January 2009- Times Squaring with classmates!

Today, i mean 'that day', i went to times square with classmates, namely pei hwa, ing hui, elayne, wei jiann, chee huat, ivy and 2 more girls (not sure about their names. but they should be elsa and jia jia rite? Got them from charlene's journal. Peace!) So, on that day, we set off right after our lesson which was ended at 12.00pm. Before that, i went to the girl's hostel as usual and waited for my classmates to dress up. After that, i accompanied pei hwa to withdraw money from a bank nearby as i had promised her beforehand. When the other girls were ready, we took a taxi to go to ktm station, and from there we boarded the train to kl sentral station, and then we took monorail to imbi station, and here we were right in front of the entrance of times square.

Practically, we went searching for nice food, as all of us had been starving since that morning. Hmm...sometimes we guys must be physically and mentally well-prepared whenever having an outing with girls. Never expect to feed our stomach 'fully' as most of them are anti-high lipids and carbohydrates, and no fast food! Perhaps i was from a male school, so not really used to that.haha...no offence ya! Take that day for instance, we stopped by many food shops and restaurants, but immediately retreated when we...hmm...the girls(exclude me please..)took a glimpse at the food menu. Haih...a bit 'frustrated' liao. So, i came out with an idea of bringing them to a food cafe which i am quite familiar with and where i know the food menu dislays the foods in SMALLER dishes, but BIGGER servings! Hehe! Here is my place, i wanna choose my own food, feeding my own stomach!! After we ordered food, the girls started complaining about the place, this and that...and after we had done, they changed their views towards the shop. Totally distorted from what they had said just now.The sayings were something like 'not bad, big serving at considerable price, delicious as well...blah...'.only ph couldn't finish it because the food was being served in such a 'gargantuan' amount! Moreover, she was and is on diet!

BIG MEAL! GARGANTUAN AMOUNT!!

Next, we went loitering around, entered Boarders and then we headed to Lowyat Plaza. Nothing special happened there, we just wandered around from one floor to another, buying some computer accessories and then we proceeded to sungai wang complex. Hoho! There were acrobatic performance from China, consisting of around 12 people, i guessed. Yet again, we shopped around...at 7.30pm, we headed straight to the area of Bintang Walk, which is one street away from sungai wang. Wow! The atmosphere was so 'chinese'! Bcoz Chinese New Year was just around the corner, coming in no time! Next, all of us entered a chinese traditional food shop to buy rou gan. The shop wasn't that big, actually. However, u could buy almost all kinds of chinese traditional food for ur cny there. If not mistaken, my classmate ing hui ady spent around 200 bucks for rou gan (肉干) ! Then, we went to a bai gu cha (肉骨茶) restaurant for dinner. So disappointing man! Paid 13 bucks for only few pieces of porks! and 2.50 bucks for one bowl of rice! As if the rice was made of gold...that is all for that day's trip. After that, i sent the girls back to hostel, using the same transportation. Then, i took the rapid kl and went to section 2, and from there i walked all the way to my hostel that took around 20 minutes for a distance of approximately 1.5 to 2 km. Don't count my speed okay?! 'Nightwalk' is good for health also ma. The whole day was okay for me, as i had been enduring boredom since last week...nitez!^^
