Life has been tough nowadays. And i have been rushing, in a bid to complete these few posts since 2 weeks ago, since the day i was hospitalized. This time, i have brought to u quite a number of new posts. Be more 'endurable' man! ^^
Early in the morning, my dad sent me to Tung Shin hospital. My red rashes spreading over my limbs were deteriorating since they set in 2 days ago. We registered at the counter at 10.00am, and entered the clinic at 10.45am. I was so worry, yet frustrated, when looking at my legs. More rashes as compared to this morning when i just woke up. What on earth had i done to deserve all these?! I informed the doctor about my condition. No fever, no headache, no coughing, no abdominal pain, NO PAIN! In fact, i was perfectly well as i was, except those purplish red rashes over my legs (a bit over my hands though...). The doctor asked me to do a blood test, as he didn't have a clue about what kind of disease i was infected by. So, i went to the 4th floor, telling the nurses there about my case, and then the blood test was conducted. After that, i was told to wait for around an hour while the nurses progressed with my blood sample. Next, i went to the Petaling Street to eat my breakfast and was back to hospital at 12.00pm sharp. For god's sake, my report was done. I viewed through the details, well...okay...okay...no problems with erythrocytes and leucocytes...hmm...oh my god!!, i screamed in my heart, bursting through every part of my body. The last line, with my current level of thrombocytes, or simply platelets written on it, showed that i was in big trouble. Very big one. The normal range for the platelets count in the human body is supposedly ranging between 140 and 400 units. But now u see, i only had 4 units, which was far below the range. Die loh! This indicated that i was almost depleted of platelets, which are the essence in blood clotting process to prevent extreme bleeding and blood loss. Haih...the nurses told me that my case was very anomalous. So, she took another dose of blood sample from me (fainted...). Then, i moved on to the clinic downstairs to consult the doctor again. And what he had told me was really staggering. He said that he didn't know what was the cause and advised me to go to another hospital, which was the General Hospital. Being disappointed, perplexed, worried and saddened, i set off with my dad to General Hospital. On the way, my dad had informed my uncle about the quagmire i was in trouble with. In fact, i 1st noticed these rashes in his house, as i spent my time there for cny celebration few days ago. He was on his way to hospital now. He was so worried about me. I felt so sorry for him....
So we reached the hospital at 1.00pm. The hospital was still as normal as it was, teeming with people from everywhere. After registering my profile at the counter, i was admitted to the general ward. So frustrated...i was lying on the bed, reading the maths book i had brought along. 1 hour later, a few medical officers came over, jotting down my medical details and taking another doses of blood samples (oh my god! How many doses do u want?!). Haih...same expression on their faces, feeling uncertain of my condition. Therefore, we had to wait for another specialist from Hospital Ampang to explain my condition. That meant i still didn't know what was wrong with my body. The previous doctors had suspected this might be a symptom for dengue. But i didn't have fever and headache! And it wasn't because of allergy neither. I used to eat a lot of seafood, without even a single trace of red rash! I was so healthy! Yeah...not with those shitty rashes. Next, the medical officers said that my report could only be done in a few days' time. That meaned i had to stay and suffer here for days. Haih...that day i actually ady planned an outing to midvalley with Wooi Liang's gang. Now, it was not likely gonna happen owing to these prodigious amount of red rashes ( or which pw referred to as 'uncountable' as i sms her that day to enquire her about the symptoms of allergy). Well, fine. At the same time, my uncle and aunt reached my room, coming over to my bedside. They bought things for me, from which some of them were tonics. Blah blah blah...
Haih...what on earth had i done to deserve all these...
Can see the difference?
Daily meals,ph and pw should eat these for me! They are anti-lipids, so i think the foods over here are undoubtedly suitable for them. For both dietary and slimming purposes!!
For the next few days in hospital, i led no life. I was on my bed and meditated for most of the time. So melancholy..Damned missed a lot of people man. Meanwhile, i didn't forget to pray for them. I prayed that Ken Nee is doing well for his studies in Russia and taking good care of himself, daniel is able to take a break while leading a hectic life with his assignment, Zhung Lun is able to pass his ICPU in Taylor College before going to Canada this year, Zhu Jie and Shun Ming are able to cope with the lessons, Pei Hwa is able to seek her own joy in Shah Alam so that she wouldn't be feeling that homesick and lonely and be happy, Ping Wen is able to pass her english speaking test...i prayed, prayed and prayed, hoping that everyone was alright. By Monday, i got to know my condition. It was ITP (Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura), by which my body immune system attacks my own platelets. For the next few days till the day i was discharged, every day looked alike. Eating the same food, taking the same tablets, sleeping the same time...except the day before i was discharged. A patient was admitted into the same ward of where i was. That night, he slept and snoozed like pig. God-damned annoying...and for that we all had had insomnia for the whole night. An indian guy woke up and complained that he couldn't sleep because of that fellow. So funny man! It was definitely something that u could laugh ur head off!!^^
Next afternoon (Wednesday), i was discharged from the hospital. However, i am not fully recovered yet. Still relying on the medication to maintain my platelets count. and have to attend the appointment with specialist for further medical check-up. Haih...life itself is ady tough...c ya!

Hmm...You certainly handled it well under the circumstances. There are a lot of these kind of health issues with immune systems defiencies going around. My mum for one fell victim to it but has over the past few months begun getting better. Hope you feel better soon. It certainly is no fun.
